She Had a Great Time at Her Birthday Party

Our daughter just turned eight years old and we threw her a party in our backyard, with balloons, hats and the whole bit. We even went as far as to borrow a couple of picnic tables and covered them with pink tablecloths. I ordered cute little place card holders, from an online party store, to help make her party as fancy as possible. We also ordered adorable little wedding guest book that were designed as waffle ice cream cones and I filled them with little candies for each of her guests. As thank you gifts for sharing our daughter’s birthday with her, we bought the girls each a notepad that was designed as flip flops and an adorable little charm bracelet. The party was a success and the smile on our daughters face was definitely worth all the time and effort we put into it.

I Always Wanted a Santa Costume

I had always thought it would be fun to have a Santa costume when my children were young, even though I hadn’t the faintest idea who I would get to wear it. My husband hates costumes of any kind so I knew that was out of the question, and I was pretty sure that the kids would recognize me behind the beard. So, years later, when my kids were grown, I found a Santa suit on sale and decided to buy it to surprise my young nieces and nephews on Christmas Eve. Midway through the Christmas Eve festivities, I sneaked next door to my house to get into the suit, and after struggling with the pants, coat, belt, and two pillows used for padding, I tackled the hair and beard. All this preparation took over thirty minutes, and I was in a hurry to get back before I was missed, so, bag over my shoulder, I practiced my “ho,ho,ho”, and tromped back through the snow. Opening the front door, I emitted a pretty good Santa greeting as I waited for their excited expressions. They glanced up briefly from their toys and continued playing, as the atmosphere hung heavy with an embarrassing, heavy silence. I still have the Santa Costume and I loan it out on occasion. From what I hear, it is a big hit everywhere else it goes.

St. Paul Parish Choir’s was very blessed and lucky that she has chosen by their local government as one of the participants that will join in the yearly National Choral Competition next month and they were very thankful for their never-ending support. So the group was very much inspired to do their practice daily because they don’t have anything to worry about especially with their foods daily and for the costume that they will use in their big day because their government will give it all. And they will also be given pocket-money and free hotel accommodation on that day too so in return they have promised to do their very best to make their government and all their family and friends will be proud of them.

And to make it possible they need to match it with a very beautiful, elegant and having theatrical design choral costumes so they right away searched on the internet. Happily they have found they desired style and design so they immediately ordered and to make it more attractive they will customize it by adding some details that will help promote their city. It is their sign of thanksgiving to their government for their never-ending support.
